Signs of the End of the Age

Matthew 24

1Jesus left the temple and was walking away when his disciples came up to him to call his attention to its buildings.
2"Do you see all these things?" he asked. "I tell you the truth, not one stone here will be left on another; every one will be thrown down."

3As Jesus was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately. "Tell us," they said, "when will this happen, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the end of the age?"

4Jesus answered: "Watch out that no one deceives you.
5For many will come in my name, claiming, 'I am the Christ,' and will deceive many.
6You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come.
7Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places.
8All these are the beginning of birth pains.

9"Then you will be handed over to be persecuted and put to death, and you will be hated by all nations because of me.
10At that time many will turn away from the faith and will betray and hate each other,
11and many false prophets will appear and deceive many people.
12Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold,
13but he who stands firm to the end will be saved.
14And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. (NIV)

1.The Rise of False Christ and Prophet (V5,11)
There is cases where people claimed that he is christ and deceived others. And false prophet giving false foretell and misled many people. For eg Sun Myung Moon from Korean, Dongfang Shandian from China and many others.

2.War and Rumors of Wars(v6)
The world today is in a mess. There were 2 world war happened during the 20th century alone.
Even today, the world is constantly in war, especially in the middle-east area.

3.Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.(v7-8)
Nation against nation means civil war. War happened within the same country. For eg, East & West Germany, North & South Korea, North & South Vietnam, and the war happened within China too. These are people with the same race, language. tradition, but due to politics issue, they fight within and with each other.
Kingdoms against kingdom need not to explain and you will understand what is it about.

4. Famines and Earthquake.(V7)
Recently the world had food crisis, even USA, one of the richest country in the world was also affected by this crisis, rising of patrol price, inflation...etc etc.
The latest news announced that there is 30 over countries are having famines now.
And earthquake, one of the best example is the recent earthquake happened at China.

5.Prosecution of Christians. (V9-10)
There is a lot example especially in China(last time) and Some Other Country.

6.Increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold.(V12)
The human nowadays are much more wicked as compared to last time. And our public security is becoming worst and worst each day. We need to be always beware when we are at outside. Even at home also not guarantee that you are safe.

7.Gospel of the kingdom will be preached to the whole world.(V14)
6 signs above are negative, only this is the positive sign. Obviously, now the whole world had heard about Jesus christ, even in the poorest area in the world. Missionaries are at every corner of the world, they devoted their life for the sake of the kingdom of God. They want more life to be saved when the end comes.
And with the advanced communication technology nowadays such as internet, the rate of people knowing the gospel of Lord becoming faster and faster.
And christianity is the religion with the largest believer in this world.

Remember, the verses above were told by Jesus Christ to his disciples 2000 years ago and they are happening now. And the signs are becoming more obvious each day.
Although our country is peaceful, no war, no natural disaster, have rich sources of food....but that doesn't means that we will not face all these problems later. We'd never know. Always be grateful to God that we are still in a good condition now.

And I would like to stress on this:
The End of the world is coming, very soon.
Believe in HIM and be saved.

In Essay form..

Introduction:
During the 21st century, there is a guy name ZhengYii.
This is part of his life on 24-25 October,2008.

Content:
On 24 morning, he happily announced to his classmate that the trip to Pangkor is confirmed and can start calling friends to make the group to 15 people.
But suddenly 1 bad news came saying that their class potassium hydroxide wanted to have an extra class with them during that period of time.
He was like omg~... this can't be the truth, cause he really need 15 people for the trip.
(Anyone interested please come and see me in school.)

Later, during Bio class, he got back his result for Mathematics Assessment of New South Wales and sadly he just got 'Participation' only. This time he didn't grumble on his result as what he always do cause he really don't know how to do for at least 40-50% of the questions in the paper.
The reasons is because some of the questions was hard and after resting for 6 months, his mind was rather rust already. Thank God that He still have more than half of correct answer.
During the Bio class also he heard about the briefing on the project of ecology. He felt that he will have a tough time for this project. Haih~
And during PA time, the whole class sung a birthday song to the birthday girl of the day, that's Alison. Happy Birthday Alison!

After school, He was called by the Chinese Society ex-president for passing the Chinese Society account to him. It was an official event and need to have both the teacher advisor to be there to witness and sign. He wanted to call his treasurer but waited her for so long she still haven't finish her experiment. So, he decided to do this alone. The account is officially passed to him in the dicipline room by the ex-treasurer. And after that he passed everything to the new treasurer.

After that, he attended Christian Union last meeting for the year of 2008. And also his 1st time and the last time(for this year) to mc during CU meeting. And this is also the 1st time he feel some 'fun-ness' to the game played. (Usually the games are rather boring.)

After CU, back home, he helped his mom a bit to prepare for that night party at his house. Actually can't call it as party, it was celebration of our victory for the recent bible quiz. All the family members of the cell group members were invited to his house and celebrate, i.e to eat.
The celebration started before he reached home from tuition and ended quite early.
Later, as usual, he online and then sleep.

Ok, I am tired of using 3rd person point of view. I'll continue by using I.

On 25 morning, that's today, I was reluctant to wake up when my mom woke me up at around 9.45am as I was tired after busying for 1 whole day yesterday + I slept quite late.
Still, no choice, have to wake up cause I promised my uncle to help him to move house.
So I dragged myself up from my bed and after everything, was on the way to his house.
I felt that My brother and I were so 'great' cause we actually carried Everything from his 1st floor to the ground floor and then up to the lorry.
Yea, he practically do nothing except pointing finger to us (damn shit de him). Heavy wardrobe, heavy double bed, heavy table, heavy washing machine, all were carried by my brother and I from the 1st floor. He just did some of the 'light' work. LoL~..
Never mind, forgive and forget. Just take it as an exercise.

After I reached home a while and I was preparing to go Aeon Jusco already.
I was late to be there and BO, Xiau Huey and Pei Ling was there waiting for me already.
We went to bookshop for a while and then went to watch a stupid movie. Yea, the stupid-iest movie that I ever watch in cinema. The name is don't know what disaster already, forgot le.(Poor memory,haha)
After that, we went to Greenbox. So disappointed when I can't find Jay Chou's latest song there, only got Dao Xiang .
Also, we snapped some pictures there, will post them up later.

Then, bla bla bla~ I lazy to continue already.................

Good..? or Bad?

Today is quite a happening day for me.

First of all, today Chinese Society finally done their post transition. Guess what post I got?
I got the most unwanted post of all..The President~
I've actually told senior during the interview that I can accept any post except The President.
But, I have no choice but to accept the post cause it's the final decision of the Old board member.

I am quite satisfy with the new board member except for my post and Xin Yi and Zhi Jun post only. I think that Xin Yi and Zhi Jun are more deserved to have a higher post than some of the other people. But, can't change anything. And I 'respect' the final decision of the Old board.

I really have no idea how am I going to lead the society. What will it become after this?
I don't want to disappoint most of the people who put their trust and hope on me but I really don't know what will happen.
In front of everyone I am like very relaxing,laughing around but deep inside my heart I am actually scared, is like there are thousand pound of weight suddenly on my shoulder which I am unable to hold them.

This post is bad for me in term of stress and mind torturing.
But if I think the other way round, maybe God want me to be in this position so that I can be trained to be a better person, and also to glorify His name by showing a good example to other people. I will actually have more chance to share the gospel with all the members. And this is indeed Good.
So is it Good..? or Bad?

And today is 10/10. What so special about this date? We have prepared this whole year for today. Yea~ that's the Bible Quiz of the book of Nehemiah.
And guess wat? My group got 28/30, which is the Highest mark among all the cell groups who compete.
BUT, but, there is a but, we got the 2ND place. Why is this happened? I am quite not satisfy with this cause we are the 1st in reality, but the actual place is 2nd. But, we can do nothing about it cause of the rules~~

Here are the rules:
There is 30 questions and we must answer all, but we must take out 5 out of the 30 questions which we are not confident with the answer and put them in a 5-columned box. And the mark will be counted as over 25. This is to prevent if there are 2 groups with the same mark, then they will compare that 5 questions in the column for both the group and decide the better group. If not, the 5 questions actually are rather useless.

Ok, so we choose. And surprisingly that 5 questions that we chose are all correct. But we have 2 wrong answers in the 25 questions. While the champion groups (yea, 2 groups are champion, they have the same mark, and they also have same number of correct answers in the column, so both are champion. This also indicates that the 'rules' doesn't work much) have 1 wrong answers among the 25 questions but 3 wrong for the 5-columned questions, which means their actual marks are 26/30. While our group have 28/30 where we are supposed to be the 1st, but due to the stupid rules we got 2nd.

Haih, no matter how, nothing can be changed, just can say suan le (forget it). At least we got a place right, if i am not mistaken 30+ groups(I just can remember 300+ people were in the church only) compete among each other, and at least we made it through to the almost top place.

To be frank, I actually contribute very little to the group only. We're just like depend on 1 of the uncle only, which is very good,expert, or whatever u say it, as long as he is Geng! Haha.
My brother and I are just like his assistance who double confirm the answer with him only, or discuss together the questions that we are un-sure .

Anyhow, the purpose of bible quiz are not just to have a simple competition like this only.
The main purpose is to actually let us understand more about God's word. We study deeply in to the book and this is different from merely read through the bible only.

Quote from Rev Yeoh: If you managed to answer 5 out of the 30 questions in the paper, you are consider very good already. Cause, if you ever take this question to any of the teology students or pastor who didn't prepare, they hardly to even answer 5 questions correctly.

What he said is true. Cause the questions for this bible quiz is VERY hard. Yea, VERY. If you didn't study the book properly or deeply, you won't be able to answer even 1 question correctly. I mean with confident, not playing tembak.

Hope the words and teaching of Nehemiah can stay in my mind for a long period of time. I had gone through 2nd time of Acts, Luke and Nehemiah Bible quiz with this group. And frankly, I forgot many of the things in Acts and Luke already. Last time I was expert in both of the books, especially Acts. I can answer almost every questions that you ask from Acts(is actually from chapter 14-28 only cause I just participate for the 2nd half of the quiz only) . But now you simply ask me any question I also hardly answer. haha~

I have poor long-term memory.

That's all for today. Finally I can fully concentrate on my final exam already after this final bible exam. Haha! *I am tensed up*
