Meaningful

I got this from an Email, which I found it very meaningful. It is in Chinese, I have translated some of it to English. Hope the message can still be delivered even with my bad English.

Human need God, but they always mess up their life by depending on themselves.

I like this. The King represent Jesus. The word says: It is harder for Jesus to be 'lay down' and 'obedient' than us, but He did it.

The truth believe is not to cover the hideous(sins), but to uncover it.

We can't choose our life/the way we live, but we can choose how to face it.

Most of the people are standing in front of the door of eternity and refuse to go in because they are ''lazy(or don't want) to explore'' the path towards it.

Do not envy on others about their life, cause God has given you the 'most suitable' life to live.

I like this too! The truth freedom is when we are within the 'area of our creator'
This pic illustrate very well, God has put us in this world in a bumper car playground. If we refuse to 'play our life' inside the playground (disobedient God, think that by playing outside we will have more freedom) , we will eventually lost our freedom.
Man(our relatives or friends) might absent in some of our performance(of life), but Jesus will never absent.

How much is the potential that God put in us? Answer: Much More than we ever knew it.

A person who love God will love the others regardless of how they 'active' in religious activities.

We are not happy because we always think what we don't have. We should appreciate what we have, what God has given us.
Learn how to forgive people as Jesus have done that on the cross for us.
Human and Animals are difference because Human eat to survive, not live to eat.

People experienced God during their hard time is much more happy.......
Human always wants to see supernatural phenomena (miracle), they forgot the nature around them are actually miracle.
It is a miracle that we are still living now (think about it, esp for Bio students)

People do something bad to us, is their fault. But we will be the same species as them if we revenge on them.
'We are useless if we refuse to perform our function.'

Some people 'laugh' that we follow Jesus blindly, they are actually 'laughing' blindly because they don't know what Christianity is

That's all. Another meanigful quote that I read in a book,
Some people might think like this at the end of a day: I have lost a day.
But, to some other people, they will be grateful bacause they have Earned 1 more day.

Stop it!

Someone is ruining my life.
Please stop it now!
I am enduring, and my there's a certain limit to my endurance.

Hey, stop the nonsense! Don't be so foolish and childish! Form 6 isn't easy, why can't you just focus on your study? Too free? Get a calender and start counting down instead of ruining my life. Just stop it now and I still can pretend that nothing has happened.

Don't make me tell you such words face to face. Behave yourself.

p/s: Don't simply make your 'smart' guess of who I am giving this message to. And please don't ask me about who is it and any question related to this. I am sick of it. That person will understand if it read this.

Next, wanna know what happened between He and She?
Is a good news, both of them started their relationship officially during Valentine.
That's not the ending, or I should say that the Story has just Begun!
Wish them all the best!

Trip that I am going this year:
1. Langkawi (2nd-5th, April). School Magazine Editorial Board(Chinese).
2. Kuantan (18th-19th, April). Chinese Society.
That makes me can't go to church for the 1st and 3rd Sunday during the month of April, especially the 3rd Sunday, that day is Easter leh!
I'll definitely do my own devotion during that 2 days.
I am shame to say that I didn't do daily devotion, not even weekly or monthly. That's really not good, very not good.

Last Sunday(yesterday), I was a Sunday School Teacher for an hour.
My Sunday School Teacher was absent and so I actually did the sharing, who ask me is the eldest among the group. They are 1 year younger than me.
We talked about how to prove that Bible is truth.
Maybe next time I'll post up about this, when the day I am free to arrange everything up and translate to English(the hardest job) and type them here.

Today is my Mom's Birthday. Happy Birthday!

Sabah, I'm coming~

Air Asia is giving out 500,000 free seats.
Book from: 10 - 15 Feb 2009 | Travel from: 12 Oct 2009 - 31 Jan 2010

What makes me excited is 2 ways to Sabah (go and back) only cost RM 57 per person.
Yea, is JUST RM57, no hidden fees. That RM 57 is actually the airport tax.
It has been almost 3 years since my last visit to my Grandparents House.
I remembered the March holiday during my form 4 time, I went there for 9 days.
Since then I never go back edi. So miss the place.

And here is the question:
Who want to go Sabah with me from 5th Jan, 2010 to hmm....don't know when...maybe stay 10 days there?

That time we are free from any form of Exam and I can't wait for the day to come.

Maybe we can make a trip to Sabah. We can visit all the way from Kota Kinabalu to Kundasang(climb Mount Kinabalu here) then to Kudat(My Grandparents house).......

Bla Bla Bla, I am just day-dreaming.
2 problems:
1st, look at the booking date. 15 Feb last day. Not many can confirm in such a short period of time.
2nd, it will be costly. For me is ok la, I can eat and stay there for free. Hah~ The Main Cost will be transportation fee.

So, just forget it, I am going alone. Maybe with my family if they are able to make it. But I am going for sure, going there with Jit Yo on the same day as his Sem Break end.
(Omg, I can't wait to book now, but my parents are sleeping, can't talk to them...lol..)

Complicated Relationship

It's been a month since school reopen. Chinese New Year had passed and the month of January left us. I was busy and lazy to update my blog.
Anyway, I'm not going to summarize of what happened to me last week.

Today, my main topic will be about Relationship, to be more specific, relationship between Guy & Girl.
We, no matter we're in a relationship, use to have a relationship, never had a relationship or soon to have a relationship, must consider about this. Cause, this is all related to us(for Christian), I mean in later part of our life, we will have to have a 'Life Partner'(except that you want to be single for whole of your life). Here is the case that I would like to study:

There's a guy. He is a Christian. He is a loyal guy. He love a girl who is a non-christian.
I can't make it clear or specific cause I don't want to reveal who is him here.
Here's the story:
The guy and the girl were classmates.
The guy loves the girl so much that he sacrifice and change himself for her.
Even now the path that he's taking now, part of it, was because of the girl.
He was a quiet guy, he don't really mix around with people.
He knew that if he continue to be like that, she will never notice him.
So, he changed. He became very active in class, he talked and joke a lot. He mixed around with his classmate, played around crazily in class.
Many people knew that he likes her, but he never confess to her.
Until one day, he took up all of his courage and called her, and confessed to her.
Her answer made him disappointed. But, he never give up on her.
During her birthday, he bought a cake, made a cd with songs that contain all the message that he wants to tell her, with a letter, brought to her house and gave her.
During Valentines' Day, he gave her presents.
This continue for few years, with different 'skills' each time.
He became a better christian,he was a good christian, but because of her he became a better 1.
He wants to show a good testimony to her, he wants her to know that Jesus loves her. He wants her life to be saved. He wants to be with her FOREVER, not in this life only, but forever!
But, she's stubborn. She refused to accept christ.
Nevertheless, he still love her.
He waited her for 3(or 4) years although she rejected him many times, he didn't give up.

Finally, one day, after a long long time, her answer was different. She was touched by him, she falls in love with him. She wants to be together with him too!
But she claimed that she needs some time to prepare, so he gave her time, till 14th Feb, 2009, that's the Valentines' Day.

The story didn't end yet, both the main characters and I(the narrator) also don't know what will be happening next.
Can they live happily ever after? I don't know..

But here is what happened after the day she confessed back to him.
He went to bible study, and it was so 'coincidence' that the topic was about relationship between boys and girls. He talked with his church member, and suddenly their topic was revolving around relationship problem. And the content of the topic seems like telling him that he should not start a relationship with a non-christian. It's just like God is talking to him through different people. He started to become worried.

Between God's will and Relationship, which one should he choose?

He asked for my opinion. I gave him my opinion. Then he replied me with things that I never thought before. Before this, he had a talk with a uncle, and his points was that a Christian should not start a relationship with a non-christian.
It was hard, real hard decision.

So, I actually asked my sunday school teacher about this, and his opinion is different from that uncle. He said that the bible didn't say that a Christian ought to be with a Christian, but it is better to be with a christian no matter how. He said, to start a relationship with a non-christian is ok as long as u try your best to touch her/him with the love of Christ but it is not so good if want to marry with a non-christian.............

There's some other things which I don't know how to put in words.
The whole thing is rather complicated.
For me, it is ok to be with a christian or a non-christian, I will lead and guide her to become a christian if she's a non-christian. That's what I think last time.
But now, after so many things, I think I need to re-think about the whole thing.
I need to have the best answer for this question.

May God guide him throughout the whole path that he must take, Valentines is very near now and hope and he and she will found out the best solution for both.

A Day..

I wanted to post on the topic regarding visitation to Mr Chan house for today. But,
Davin's blog says it all. So, don't need already lo. Haha~
But what's missing in his blog is our next house, Mr Ong's house.
4 of them left 3 of us 'alone' to be in Mr Ong house and went to makan. lol~
The reason why we stay so long in Mr Chan house is because we were waiting for Mr Ong back from car workshop, which he went to service his car exhaust. Both of them stay very close, just behind of each other house.
3 of us (Keik Wee, Chin Kuan and me) stayed in Mr Ong's house from 4pm to around 4.45pm. Our conversation is mainly about study, which I like; and a little bit on tennis, which I don't understand. haha~ He is very friendly.
Davin and Alwin went in to his house sit less than 5 minutes and went away.
But Mr Ong is so good that he gave 2 more Ang Pao to us and asked us to pass to them.
I know that this picture is in Davin's blog already, but I want to post it here also cause I like this picture. Haha, Mr Chan children both are very cute
Their name is En Yi(daughter) and En Yong(son).
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I use to 'don't like' some of my relative cause something, and I use to 'like' some my relative so much cause of something. But after Chinese New Year, some thing are changed. The relative that I use to 'don't like' became 'not bad' in my eyes and the relatives that I 'like' became 'not bad' in my eyes too! (Figure out yourself)
That's the hidden truth that I meant. That's the damn wrong mistakes that I've made.
I didn't look at things at both side. I was 'blinded' by 1 side only.
Indeed a great lesson I learnt during this Chinese New Year.
Actually I knew this concept/theory long long time ago, but I can't apply it.
Now I've experienced it. Hope that I will be able to apply it better after this.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Let say STPM in on the 2nd week of November, that's on 9th November.
Today is 30th of Jan.
I just did some calculation, we left 282 days only to the 'Judgement day'
We will have 280 days when we enter the month of Feb.
Time will fly at the speed of light and suddenly tomorrow will be the day.
Come on, friends, let's get started, do your revision now for the Judgement Day.
(This is also a reminder for myself, I never do my revision properly since I enter the year 2009)

Days left: 282.

Hidden Truth

Chinese New Year was just ok, I don't really enjoy it.
I went back to Johor, my dad's kampung, as usual, almost every year.
Never go back to my mom's kampung to celebrate CNY before, cause too far, at Sabah.
This year, only 1 word 烦!
A lot of incident happened, unhappy incident, just pop out like that, due to some stupid people, no matter at Johor or at Sabah.
There is a saying '家丑不外扬', which means we should not tell other people about the 'ugliness' of our own family. Yea, I won't reveal anything here. Maybe want to 'release' out a bit here.
............
............
............
Argh, I also don't know how to release la!
Too many things. Too complicated. Too Stupid.

Always, we tend to look at things at 1 side only and we make our conclusion based on that.
That's damn wrong. We MUST look at the other side too. There's always some hidden truth that you don't know. Be clear with the whole incident 1st before you make any judgement, accusation, conclusion.

Happy to be at home.

Reminder: Start studying for STPM now!

Tomorrow is the last day in Chinese Calender of the year of Mouse.
Another year is going to pass.

I am attending the 1st service in my church, that's 7.30-9.30am.
Leaving Klang in the afternoon to Johor.
Around 4 hours of driving. I'll be driving to Johor man~! Haha~ Maybe not the whole distance, maybe few hundred km, but surely my dad allow me to drive tomorrow.
Unable to update my blog for tomorrow and during Chinese New Year, and maybe 2 days after Chinese New Year. That's why now I am writing for the sake of following days.

Today had a 'big flu'. Been sneezing for the whole day.
Now my head is a little bit dizzy, eyes are closing..Still havent pack my bag yet, all will be done by tomorrow.

Again, Happy 牛 new to everyone.

A Tiring Day

The main character for this story is me.
Woke up reluctantly to go for the stupid merentas desa(cross-country), I never like it though I participate it every year. Somehow it is a chance for me to force myself to get some exercise. hah~
So I went and run lo, half way found out that my right shoe spoilt, the front part open up (I know there's a word to describe this but I forgot what already, is it crocodile something de?lol..)
No choice, I have to walk. If I continue to run, I'll most probably end up walking with bare feet.
Thanks to Kean Peng and Hong Ji (Not sure how to spell his name, he's one of the chung hwa geng) who willing to accompany me throughout the whole track. We even spent almost half an hour to fix my shoe so that we can at least speed up a bit. But at the end, all our effort are useless. The shoe still the same. So, we decided to take a shorcut back to school. Although we used shortcut, we were still among the very last form 6 guy to reach the school......
Gratz to Yeow Sheng and Linda!

Later, Pn Hasimah tahan our class for the stupid painting job.
At last, left Fui teng, Siew Pei, Jac and Me only in the class, and Elaine too, but she left earlier for tuition. The other all run away. =.= I thought teacher told the class 2 days ago. I don't know about this till this morning but I still can stay. Anyway, I don't want to comment about this.
1 something we went back, we 'begged' the teacher to release us, we were all tired and left the class in mess.
On my way out to school, I saw Pn Chandrika talking with Mr Mong, so I 'open' up my ears when I passed through them, what I heard was something like 'What can I do, Leave this to God'..

I didn't rest after my lunch after a long morning. Instead, I went to Bank Islam to settle my scholarship thingy. I guess most(or all) of you got the news that the 9A scholarship is out either from a phone call from JPA or through friends.
So, I went with my uncle. There is a funny thing happened here, but I am lazy to write, maybe next time la.
Met William and Hui Siang there, and Jia Huoy too. Spent 2 hours to settle everything and rush back home to attend Mano's tuition. I really hate the traffic in Klang, this week 3 times, 3 days consecutively I am stuck in the stupid traffic jam. Sometimes that makes me really hate to drive, driving becomes damn boring, tiring, 'lifeless' during traffic jam.
And today the traffic is the worst among the 3 days I am stucked with it. Reached home at exactly 5.30pm, quickly took out my notes, and 2 biscuits, and changed a car and rush to tuition.
Long 5.30-8pm and then 8.15-10.15pm. Really tired.
But la, no matter how tired, online is a must, esp tomorrow and nx week is HolidayS~~
If tomorrow is a schooling day now surely I am on my bed dreaming edi la...hah~

Going back to Johor this Sunday, maybe Wednesday only back.
Will be boring without Internet~ ..

Happy Chinese New Year to everyone.

44th US president inauguration speech

Barack Obama has been sworn in as the 44th US president.
Here is his inauguration speech in full.

My fellow citizens:

I stand here today humbled by the task before us, grateful for the trust you have bestowed, mindful of the sacrifices borne by our ancestors. I thank President Bush for his service to our nation, as well as the generosity and co-operation he has shown throughout this transition.

Forty-four Americans have now taken the presidential oath. The words have been spoken during rising tides of prosperity and the still waters of peace. Yet, every so often the oath is taken amidst gathering clouds and raging storms.

At these moments, America has carried on not simply because of the skill or vision of those in high office, but because we, the people, have remained faithful to the ideals of our forbearers, and true to our founding documents.

So it has been. So it must be with this generation of Americans.

Serious challenges
That we are in the midst of crisis is now well understood. Our nation is at war, against a far-reaching network of violence and hatred. Our economy is badly weakened, a consequence of greed and irresponsibility on the part of some, but also our collective failure to make hard choices and prepare the nation for a new age. Homes have been lost; jobs shed; businesses shuttered. Our health care is too costly; our schools fail too many; and each day brings further evidence that the ways we use energy strengthen our adversaries and threaten our planet.

We have chosen hope over fear, unity of purpose over conflict and discord

These are the indicators of crisis, subject to data and statistics. Less measurable but no less profound is a sapping of confidence across our land - a nagging fear that America's decline is inevitable, and that the next generation must lower its sights.

Today I say to you that the challenges we face are real. They are serious and they are many. They will not be met easily or in a short span of time. But know this, America - they will be met.

On this day, we gather because we have chosen hope over fear, unity of purpose over conflict and discord.

On this day, we come to proclaim an end to the petty grievances and false promises, the recriminations and worn out dogmas, that for far too long have strangled our politics.

Nation of 'risk-takers'

We remain a young nation, but in the words of scripture, the time has come to set aside childish things. The time has come to reaffirm our enduring spirit; to choose our better history; to carry forward that precious gift, that noble idea, passed on from generation to generation: the God-given promise that all are equal, all are free, and all deserve a chance to pursue their full measure of happiness.

In reaffirming the greatness of our nation, we understand that greatness is never a given. It must be earned. Our journey has never been one of short-cuts or settling for less. It has not been the path for the faint-hearted - for those who prefer leisure over work, or seek only the pleasures of riches and fame. Rather, it has been the risk-takers, the doers, the makers of things - some celebrated but more often men and women obscure in their labour, who have carried us up the long, rugged path towards prosperity and freedom.

For us, they packed up their few worldly possessions and travelled across oceans in search of a new life.

For us, they toiled in sweatshops and settled the West; endured the lash of the whip and ploughed the hard earth.

For us, they fought and died, in places like Concord and Gettysburg; Normandy and Khe Sahn.

'Remaking America'

Time and again these men and women struggled and sacrificed and worked till their hands were raw so that we might live a better life. They saw America as bigger than the sum of our individual ambitions; greater than all the differences of birth or wealth or faction.

The state of the economy calls for action, bold and swift

This is the journey we continue today. We remain the most prosperous, powerful nation on earth. Our workers are no less productive than when this crisis began. Our minds are no less inventive, our goods and services no less needed than they were last week or last month or last year. Our capacity remains undiminished. But our time of standing pat, of protecting narrow interests and putting off unpleasant decisions - that time has surely passed. Starting today, we must pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and begin again the work of remaking America.

For everywhere we look, there is work to be done. The state of the economy calls for action, bold and swift, and we will act - not only to create new jobs, but to lay a new foundation for growth. We will build the roads and bridges, the electric grids and digital lines that feed our commerce and bind us together. We will restore science to its rightful place, and wield technology's wonders to raise health care's quality and lower its cost. We will harness the sun and the winds and the soil to fuel our cars and run our factories. And we will transform our schools and colleges and universities to meet the demands of a new age. All this we can do. All this we will do.

Restoring trust

Now, there are some who question the scale of our ambitions - who suggest that our system cannot tolerate too many big plans. Their memories are short. For they have forgotten what this country has already done; what free men and women can achieve when imagination is joined to common purpose, and necessity to courage.

We reject as false the choice between our safety and our ideals

What the cynics fail to understand is that the ground has shifted beneath them - that the stale political arguments that have consumed us for so long no longer apply.

The question we ask today is not whether our government is too big or too small, but whether it works - whether it helps families find jobs at a decent wage, care they can afford, a retirement that is dignified. Where the answer is yes, we intend to move forward. Where the answer is no, programs will end. And those of us who manage the public's dollars will be held to account - to spend wisely, reform bad habits, and do our business in the light of day - because only then can we restore the vital trust between a people and their government.

Nor is the question before us whether the market is a force for good or ill. Its power to generate wealth and expand freedom is unmatched, but this crisis has reminded us that without a watchful eye, the market can spin out of control - that a nation cannot prosper long when it favours only the prosperous. The success of our economy has always depended not just on the size of our gross domestic product, but on the reach of our prosperity; on the ability to extend opportunity to every willing heart - not out of charity, but because it is the surest route to our common good.

'Ready to lead'

As for our common defence, we reject as false the choice between our safety and our ideals. Our founding fathers, faced with perils we can scarcely imagine, drafted a charter to assure the rule of law and the rights of man, a charter expanded by the blood of generations. Those ideals still light the world, and we will not give them up for expedience's sake. And so to all other peoples and governments who are watching today, from the grandest capitals to the small village where my father was born: know that America is a friend of each nation and every man, woman, and child who seeks a future of peace and dignity, and we are ready to lead once more.

We will not apologise for our way of life, nor will we waver in its defence

Recall that earlier generations faced down fascism and communism not just with missiles and tanks, but with the sturdy alliances and enduring convictions. They understood that our power alone cannot protect us, nor does it entitle us to do as we please. Instead, they knew that our power grows through its prudent use; our security emanates from the justness of our cause, the force of our example, the tempering qualities of humility and restraint.

We are the keepers of this legacy. Guided by these principles once more, we can meet those new threats that demand even greater effort - even greater cooperation and understanding between nations. We will begin to responsibly leave Iraq to its people, and forge a hard-earned peace in Afghanistan. With old friends and former foes, we will work tirelessly to lessen the nuclear threat, and roll back the spectre of a warming planet. We will not apologise for our way of life, nor will we waver in its defence, and for those who seek to advance their aims by inducing terror and slaughtering innocents, we say to you now that our spirit is stronger and cannot be broken; you cannot outlast us, and we will defeat you.

'Era of peace'
For we know that our patchwork heritage is a strength, not a weakness. We are a nation of Christians and Muslims, Jews and Hindus - and non-believers. We are shaped by every language and culture, drawn from every end of this earth; and because we have tasted the bitter swill of civil war and segregation, and emerged from that dark chapter stronger and more united, we cannot help but believe that the old hatreds shall someday pass; that the lines of tribe shall soon dissolve; that as the world grows smaller, our common humanity shall reveal itself; and that America must play its role in ushering in a new era of peace.

To the Muslim world, we seek a new way forward, based on mutual interest and mutual respect. To those leaders around the globe who seek to sow conflict, or blame their society's ills on the West - know that your people will judge you on what you can build, not what you destroy. To those who cling to power through corruption and deceit and the silencing of dissent, know that you are on the wrong side of history; but that we will extend a hand if you are willing to unclench your fist.

To the people of poor nations, we pledge to work alongside you to make your farms flourish and let clean waters flow; to nourish starved bodies and feed hungry minds. And to those nations like ours that enjoy relative plenty, we say we can no longer afford indifference to suffering outside our borders; nor can we consume the world's resources without regard to effect. For the world has changed, and we must change with it.

'Duties'
As we consider the road that unfolds before us, we remember with humble gratitude those brave Americans who, at this very hour, patrol far-off deserts and distant mountains. They have something to tell us, just as the fallen heroes who lie in Arlington whisper through the ages. We honour them not only because they are guardians of our liberty, but because they embody the spirit of service; a willingness to find meaning in something greater than themselves. And yet, at this moment - a moment that will define a generation - it is precisely this spirit that must inhabit us all.

What is required of us now is a new era of responsibility

For as much as government can do and must do, it is ultimately the faith and determination of the American people upon which this nation relies. It is the kindness to take in a stranger when the levees break, the selflessness of workers who would rather cut their hours than see a friend lose their job which sees us through our darkest hours. It is the firefighter's courage to storm a stairway filled with smoke, but also a parent's willingness to nurture a child, that finally decides our fate.

Our challenges may be new. The instruments with which we meet them may be new. But those values upon which our success depends - honesty and hard work, courage and fair play, tolerance and curiosity, loyalty and patriotism - these things are old. These things are true. They have been the quiet force of progress throughout our history. What is demanded then is a return to these truths.

What is required of us now is a new era of responsibility - a recognition, on the part of every American, that we have duties to ourselves, our nation, and the world, duties that we do not grudgingly accept but rather seize gladly, firm in the knowledge that there is nothing so satisfying to the spirit, so defining of our character, than giving our all to a difficult task.

'Gift of freedom'

This is the price and the promise of citizenship.

This is the source of our confidence - the knowledge that God calls on us to shape an uncertain destiny.

This is the meaning of our liberty and our creed - why men and women and children of every race and every faith can join in celebration across this magnificent mall, and why a man whose father less than 60 years ago might not have been served at a local restaurant can now stand before you to take a most sacred oath.

So let us mark this day with remembrance, of who we are and how far we have travelled. In the year of America's birth, in the coldest of months, a small band of patriots huddled by dying campfires on the shores of an icy river. The capital was abandoned. The enemy was advancing. The snow was stained with blood. At a moment when the outcome of our revolution was most in doubt, the father of our nation ordered these words be read to the people:

"Let it be told to the future world... that in the depth of winter, when nothing but hope and virtue could survive... that the city and the country, alarmed at one common danger, came forth to meet [it]."

America. In the face of our common dangers, in this winter of our hardship, let us remember these timeless words. With hope and virtue, let us brave once more the icy currents, and endure what storms may come. Let it be said by our children's children that when we were tested we refused to let this journey end, that we did not turn back nor did we falter; and with eyes fixed on the horizon and God's grace upon us, we carried forth that great gift of freedom and delivered it safely to future generations.

Thank you. God bless you. And God bless the United States of America.
